Stephen King slams President Trump in scathing tweet: ‘The armbands come next right?’

The “master of horror” is horrified.

Author Stephen King took to Twitter Sunday to denounce President Donald Trump, without naming the White House resident.

“First, you stoke hatred and fear of minorities,” wrote King. “Then you round them up and put them in camps.

“Next, you send out raiding parties to get those who have been driven into hiding,” he continued. “The armbands come next right?”

Although King did not elaborate on the type of armband he was referring to, the most notable instance of this type of government marker forcing people were the Nazis who forced Jewish people to wear badges during the Holocaust.

Trump announced Friday that border agents would begin raids in some American cities to remove people who are in the United States illegally.

“It starts on Sunday and they’re going to take people out and they’re going to bring them back to their countries,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “We are focused on criminals as much as we can before we do anything else.”

This isn’t the first time King has spoken out about Trump. Last week, King asserted on Twitter that “The news is real. The president is fake.”

Sunday morning, Trump’s opponents accused him of xenophobia and racism Sunday after he posted tweets calling on an unspecified group of Democratic congresswomen to “go back and help fix” the countries he said they “originally came” from before trying to make legislative changes in the U.S.

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run,” he tweeted.

“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done,” he continued. “These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”
