He is best known as the bassist in the new wave band Spandau Ballet and for his role as Steve Owen in EastEnders.
And Martin Kemp can add DJ to his list of credentials as he got behind the decks at the Hale barns Carnival, at St Ambrose College in Cheshire on Sunday.
The musician, 57, gave an energetic performance with his 80’s music set that drove the crowd wild.
The silver fox kept it casual for his performance in a black T-shirt and white jeans and ensured he was able to dance around by sporting white trainers.
Giving it his all, the Gold hit maker cheered and chanted alongside the crowd inside the tent as he captivated the crowd.
The stage was illuminated in deep purple and hot pink with the actor and music star’s name emblazoned on a screen behind his DJ decks.
Martin’s performance comes as he has been appearing alongside his radio DJ son Roman, 26, on Celebrity Gogglebox, leaving viewers in hysterics with their honest critiques of the week in TV.
The pair spoke candidly about their close relationship during a recent appearance on Loose Women, with Martin revealing he always treated his children as his friends.
He explained: ‘We’ve always treated Harley and Roman like they’re friends always, and we chose to do it that style, we just look at our four as a bunch of friends and you won’t let one of your friends down.
‘Discipline is even better if they feel like they’ve let you down as a friend it works even better.’
Roman added: ‘I couldn’t be more grateful for the way my parents have brought myself and my sister up.
‘You see with younger guys, they’re not as open with their parents nowadays you’re more likely to opening up to your friends.
‘My dad couldn’t be a bigger inspiration to me, the first time I was trying to do stuff people said will you still use your surname, my parents are people I’m the most proud of.’
Martin shares Roman with his wife Shirlie Holliman, 57, who he wed in 1988, the couple also have a daughter Harley Moon, 29.
