Here’s what we know about Selena Gomez’s new single

Selena Gomez is back, kids.

Well, it’s not like she ever really left. We’ve been inundated with her relationship “news” and minor controversies for the past year, although Selena has kept it relatively low-profile: staying mostly out of the spotlight and only releasing two new songs (The Heart Wants What It Wants and Zedd’s I Want You to Know).

But on Monday, she’s set to release the first single from her forthcoming album. It’s called Good for You and here’s what we know about it:

It’s A Sexy Slow Jam.

The song already leaked online this weekend and sounds much more like Heart than, say, Come and Get It. Backed by hazy production and slow percussion, Selena seduces a lover on the chorus, cooing.


For the tune, she reportedly collaborated with songwriting team Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels, and recruited co-producers Hit-Boy and Rock Mafia. Given their resumes include Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato, Kanye West and Miley Cyrus, respectively, Selena truly assembled an A-list team for this one.

A$AP Rocky Is Featured.

As Selena revealed via this leggy cover art on Instagram. Sure, the rapper might seem like an odd pairing for the pop star, but let’s not forget his fire verses on Sam Smith’s I’m Not the Only One remix.
