Future Unveils ‘EVOL’ Album Title, Track List

Future spent Wednesday building anticipation for his forthcoming album. Early in the day he shared “Sh!t about to get real in a few hrs” on Twitter and promised that it would happen at “Midnight eastern,” and he made good on it. He unveiled his forthcoming album’s title along with the track list, but prior to that announcement he shared the song, “In Abundance.”

The hypnotic song, which was executive produced by DJ Esco and Metro Boomin’, was shared via YouTube with a Purple Reign graphic, but the song does not appear on that mixtape. Later, the rapper unveiled the title of his new album, EVOL, via Twitter along with the cover art and he explained that the album’s name is “Love backwards.” Pre-order began at midnight EST.

As Pitchfork reports, Future will also be a guest during the debut of DJ Khaled’s Beats 1 show, We the Best Radio, on Friday, and in a Snapchat the pair revealed that Future’s album would be premiered during the show. “I have Future’s album/tape, that I’m premiering first on We the Best Radio, Apple Music.” Future added, “This Friday. We the Best, don’t miss it. Love.”

On Wednesday evening, Future Unveils also began tweeting the album’s song titles, though he didn’t share “In Abundance” as one of them. His collaboration with The Weeknd, “Low Life,” made the cut. The prolific rapper released Purple Reign just last month. Last September he dropped What a Time to Be Alive with Drake, and his DS2 album was released last summer.
