Fans may have had their fingers crossed that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen would make an appearance on the fifth and final season of “Fuller House,” but they’ll have to keep on hoping.
In an interview with People, Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner) confirmed that the Olsen twins, who appeared originally as Michelle Tanner in “Full House,” would not be on the reboot during its final season, which will be released on Netflix Dec. 6.
“I’ve been telling you guys since season one,” Bure said. “You guys can hang on, have hope. I know the answer, I’ve given up.”
Bure, Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) and Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) are among the original cast members that came back for “Fuller House.” Bob Saget, John Stamos and Scott Weinger also returned for the reboot as Danny Tanner, Jesse Katsopolis and Steve Hale, respectively.
Bure shared a video of herself, Barber and Sweetin singing the show’s theme song on her Instagram after the show wrapped.
