Anna Kendrick Is Furious About This ‘Independence Day 2’ Casting

The actress tweeted her frustration about Mae Whitman not being chosen to reprise her role in next year’s sequel.

Up until now, we’ve been thoroughly impressed with the awesome casting decisions made for “Independence Day 2.” Liam Hemsworth as a butt-kicking alien killer? Amazing. Jessie Usher, a.k.a. Will Smith 2.0, as Steven Hiller’s son? Love it. Bringing back Vivica A. Fox, Bill Pullman, AND Jeff Goldblum? DING DING DING, WINNER!

Needless to say, a lot of fans expressed their disappointment over the decision, rightfully pointing out that Whitman should’ve at least been on the short list of actresses to reprise her part.
